Grounded Paper Co: How It All Started

Grounded Paper Co is truly a dream realized. Started by Kayla, a toddler mom, wife, planner lover, and Jersey girl through and through. She bought the planners. She wrote in them. But having one she actually finished? Never happened. The idea of launching a planner business felt like a dream, but figuring out where to even start with finding a planner manufacturer felt too out of reach. So for 2 years, she didn’t take action on it. Until 2025, when her son was born, everything changed. Working from home with a newborn completely shifted Kayla's relationship with “busy.” The days of being energized by crossing off 100 tasks in a day were no more. Some days were just about taking care of the baby, and that just had to be enough. Kayla didn't want to be "busy", she wanted to feel like she was making progress toward her goals without being completely exhausted at the end of each day so she could have the energy and time to spend with her baby boy. Kayla quickly learned (thankfully) that "busy" didn't mean productive, and that's why making room for joy and taking care of yourself is a core value of GPCo. 

Receiving her first planner sample after years of dreaming about her designs coming to life made everything feel real. Grounded Paper Co. was finally born.

And we know, why is it called Grounded Paper Co., if the planners are yellow, orange and hot pink.
